Hands-On Intro To AI

Transforming an entire workforce to embrace AI

  • This can be an integral part of HR’s change management efforts, or the efforts of the transformation team in assisting their colleagues in adapting AI

  • For employees to get to know what they could do with AI

Transformation of people and an entire workforce

Employees resistance and skepticism towards AI application sometimes come from a feeling of being left behind, of not knowing much about AI. We help organizations to transform their people towards embracing AI. Instead of slides where participants are in a passive role, and instead of exposure to AI tools which still focuses on the technical side of AI – we first like to get people in an active role, we believe in learning-by-doing, the most effective way of learning. And we believe, the focus should not be on the technical side of AI, but on understanding what you can do with AI/understanding the AI capabilities.

We do this through small, 3-minute tasks, where we guide the participants working in a team step by step. In the end, people usually come out of our session with a smile. They are surprised about themselves that they just developed an AI application concept even though they came into the session without much knowledge of AI. And they gained a new confidence in themselves about being able to handle AI.

AI Design Sprint™

Instead of another presentation of AI use cases, or, instead of bringing the technical side of AI to the employees with no-code tools which is still too technical:

We come with paper-based tools. Our approach is learning by doing. We look at AI from the user's perspective. The methodology is based on the Google design sprint.

Participants work in teams and develop AI application solution concepts, and while so doing they get an overview of AI’s capabilities and how they can use AI.

The phases

Phase 1: Process. The starting point is a mapped-out work process. The team gets familiar with the work process and identifies pain points.

Phase 2: AI technology. We introduce AI technology with the AI Cards. Participants match the AI Cards with process steps and formulate first concepts.

Phase 3: Solution. The team brings their concepts into the process and remodels the work process to an AI-work process.

Phase 4: Ethical check. The team checks their AI solution through an ethical perspective using our AI Ethics Cards.

Phase 5: Iteration. Teams seek feedback from outside their team and iterate their AI solution.

Phase 6: Technical assessment. The team performs a technical feasibility assessment by identifying the necessary data, the form the data is accessible, and the data owners.

Phase 7: Team presentation. Teams present their developed AI application solution concepts to all.

  • It’s an interactive session where teams develop AI concepts for process automation/process augmentation, and in so doing become smarter about what AI can do and how to develop AI application concepts as a team. Starting points is a mapped-out work process.

The teams are guided step by step through highly structured activities. They will experience our AI Cards, AI Ethics Cards, Data Sources Cards, and our canvas where all steps are outlined.

First, the team develops an AI concept by matching AI technology with work process steps. The team visualizes the concept in the form of a remodeled AI work process, and they check their concept ethically and through feedback from outside their team.

Secondly, the team assesses their AI solution by looking at the technical feasibility. By looking at the data needed and identifying the data owners. The session ends with team presentations.

  • Participants work in teams. They experience our tools like the AI Cards, AI Ethics Cards, Data Sources Cards, and our canvas with the outlined steps. The team is guided by us step by step through short couple-of-minute tasks. Think of it like a board game we will play together.

Onsite: Teams are gathered around the table where they find our paper-based tools, like the canvas and AI Cards. Teams work parallel on an example use case, we will guide the teams step by step through a well-structured process. We end with team presentations.

    • Duration: half-day (4 hours)

    • Size: from teams of 20 people to teams of up to 150 people

    • Outcome: participants are more confident about AI. Their physical takeaway is their visualized AI concept

    • For: Anyone. No tech knowledge is necessary

    • How: Interactive session, highly structured, and participants are tightly guided step by step

  • The pricing

    • 3.000€ for groups of up to 30 people

    • 15.000€ for groups of up to 200 people

  • We are happy to lead a 90-minute remote Experience Session with you and your colleagues to experience a part of the session.

  • Please email Mike directly for any further questions.

We led this session with 800 teachers and 100 students

In this session, the participants developed an AI application solution concept on an example case.
