AI is a team sport
AI Alignment Map Course
In short
Don't hand it over to a project manager alone. The team shares responsibility for running its AI initiative. Our AI Alignment Map keeps Business, Technology, Organization, and User in constant alignment — with Ethics checked across all four.
This course works two ways: run your next AI initiative as a team from the start — or rescue one that's stuck. When an initiative derails, you go back with your team to the last point where all lanes were aligned, and restart from there.
The AI Alignment Map
Lanes
All of these lanes need to be in constant alignment.
Business
Includes: executive sponsorship. Business asks, do we have a business case? (They also ask the ethical question, are we capturing value by pushing a cost onto someone?)
Technology
Includes: data. Technology always ask, can we build it? (Their ethical question is, could the model, the data — treat people unequally?)
Organization
Includes: Compliance. The organization asks, can the organization adapt processes and people? (Ethical question, could the organization's new process disadvantage a group?)
User
The user asks, what should the AI do for us? Can we adapt, are we ready? (Ethical question, could the AI tool harm the people using it?)
Phases
Frame (establish the problem, the use case, the expected value, the sponsor).
Plan (decide the approach: data strategy, feasibility, who needs to be involved, scope and timelines).
Prepare (get ready to build: environments and pipeline, backlog, solution design, the people and processes that will be affected).
Build (design, train, and develop the actual solution; refine against users).
Prove & govern (validate it, get compliance and risk approvals, prepare the org and users to run it).
Launch (go live in production).
Realize & sustain (confirm the value lands, extend to more use cases, keep it running and engineered).
Along every phase, each lane runs its standing check.
Material you’re getting
Our cards
Each lane carries one question the whole way — but every phase adds its own. The card for each phase tells a lane exactly what to check and align on there. The cards come in digital and physical form.
Our AI Alignment Map
The AI Alignment Map guides your team through the phases of an AI initiative. At a glance you see where you are, what to do now, and what's ahead — with all lanes aligned at each step. It comes in digital and physical form.
Material you can start with right away
When you sign up, we'll send you the physical cards in the post. You don't have to wait for them, though — the course is fully self-paced and comes with digital material, so you can start the moment you join. When your cards arrive, you'll have something you can bring to the table with your colleagues.
